Capital One raised my interest rate by 8% for no reason. It is their prerogative. They are allowed to do that. I understand. However, I have never missed a payment. I have gone over the limit 3 times ever in the just about 5 years I have had the card. Once, was due to them posting my payment late, which they then fixed.
Comment below letting me know if YOU have ever had any “Capital One” problems or [Capital One] drama so to speak. Also, do you have a better place to go for credit? Let me know.
Whats in my wallet? Not a Capital One. I’ll keep the card because there is no monthly or yearly fees but I will not use it unless its my only option.

MasterCard Advisors SpendingPulse, a macro-economic report tracking total national retail and service sales across all payments platforms, today provided summary results for January 2010. Kamalesh Rao, Director of Economic Research for MasterCard Advisors SpendingPulse, reported that the year-over-year, seasonally unadjusted rate of growth in retail spending slowed slightly in January but continues to follow a general trend of modestly improving long-term growth in retail spending.
